How do I swap out the NEO piston for the PGK upgrade?

The NEO comes standard with our standard piston. You can upgrade your NEO with the Pressure Gauge Kit (PGK) to enjoy the benefits of pressure-profiling and force monitoring.

However, we only recommend use of the PGK when paired with the Bottomless 2-in-1 Portafilter. This is because the NEO comes equipped with our Flow Control Portafilter, which already works to ensure proper pressure is achieved when brewing, even when using too coarse or inconsistent of a grind size. 

If you'd like to make these upgrades - essentially converting your NEO to "brew like a Signature - simply purchase the Bottomless 2-in-1 Portafilter and Pressure Gauge Kit and install following the "Pressure Gauge Kit Guide" found here.

Note these upgrades require use of a high-quality, espresso-capable burr grinder and access to freshly roasted, whole beans that can be ground to size before use.
