# My Classic seems unstable/is wobbling/has a lot of play where the post fits into the oval base.

First, make sure you are pressing the post down into the base until it feels firmly seated. There may still be a 1-2 mm gap between the two, and it may move side to side slightly while not in use, but while making espresso, you will be pulling down and forward and this action has the effect of stabilizing the lever assembly.

Additionally, you may permanently secure your post and base by using the included bolt for added peace of mind, but we don’t recommend this if you plan to break down your Flair often for travel or storage.
