# How do I assemble my Classic?

To assemble your Classic, kindly reference the Quick Start guide (provided in the box, or downloadable [here](https://flairespresso.com/learn/tutorials/?__hstc=233546881.4b0367aca4ddae800dfef9f5eafbbfdf.1649620184124.1658790019765.1658881329659.23&__hssc=233546881.3.1658881329659&__hsfp=2541766894)). 

Note that the bolt used to secure the post to the oval base is not needed, and not recommended unless you plan to leave your Flair permanently assembled rather than pack it away for storage or travel. The act of brewing, and applying that downward-and-forward force, stabilizes your Flair for safe use. In fact, it was originally designed without the bolt entirely!
