# Is there any plastic along the PRO2 brew path?

The only plastic along the brew path is the [Pressure Gauge Stem](https://flairespresso.com/product/plunger-stem-for-pro/?__hstc=233546881.4b0367aca4ddae800dfef9f5eafbbfdf.1649620184124.1658360877017.1658448581190.20&__hssc=233546881.4.1658448581190&__hsfp=2541766894), which plugs into the [Stainless Steel Plunger](https://flairespresso.com/product/stainless-steel-plunger-for-pressure-gauge-kit/?__hstc=233546881.4b0367aca4ddae800dfef9f5eafbbfdf.1649620184124.1658360877017.1658448581190.20&__hssc=233546881.4.1658448581190&__hsfp=2541766894). As you brew, the plunger will push the brew water down and away from the stem, and through the brew head. Any contact with your brew water would be extremely minimal and momentary: It will only touch whatever water is sitting in the well of the plunger, before brewing.
