# My NEO lever seems to have side-to-side play.

There is a 1 mm gap designed to be between the lever and the vertical post, and if you move the lever, side to side, it may even make a noise. But that 1mm gap guarantees that there will never be friction between the lever and the post, and has zero effect on the NEO performance, safety, or durability.
